The Daughter of a famous Bollywood film director, Tara grew up in Pakistan, and in her late teens and early twenties, she was the star of her own television show, becoming something akin to the Britney Spears of Pakistan in the day, until she was chased out of the country by highly conservative government officials, for refusing to wear a burka when she was on television.
In the USA, she studied Psychology at Purdue University and became a medial systems analyst.
