Here’s Sonia
In the Early 2000’s… Somewhere around 2003 or so, Sonia’s mother, Estella, called my studio and asked if I could record her daughter singing. She sang Latino songs, and I explained what I was doing with Dream Rodeo, and shortly thereafter, Sonia became the second vocalist to commit to a full album for Dream Rodeo. The first song she sang was the original “La Rosa de Saron” by David Bell, and then she started bringing in an old Hymn book that her grandmother had from Mexico, and that is how we selected the material for the rest of the album.
Sonia has performed in and won many regional singing competitions, and lives in Fort Wayne with her Husband and child.
