Phlio Rock’s The guitar!

About Phlio

I am above all a songwriter and musician. Though it isn’t my day job, it is what defines me as a person, and is by far one of the most important things in my life. My primary tool is guitar, but I also consider myself a vocalist, and can hold my own on bass and keys when needed. In addition to the casual solo work that a musician always does, I’ve been in a few bands throughout my life. My brothers in Stoney Curtis were the crew I’ve spent the most energy on in the past, and my current band of brothers has just recently taken the name Nice Apathy.

In addition to music, I’ve also been noodling with my other passion, 3D and visual effects, off and on since the early 90s. Art of all kinds has been in my blood from childhood, but when a good friend introduced me to the wonders of Lightwave on an old Amiga, the floodgates were opened and the real journey began. I still consider myself an amateur hobbyist, but aspirations for more are never far from my thoughts.

Whether I am losing myself in music, or whether I’m stumbling around with traditional sketching, digital sketching and painting, bringing a 3D creation to life, or just blowing things up on the screen, you can be sure I’m almost always up to something that’s creative and fun.
