He was the owner/operator of Monastic Chambers Recorded Media, Inc until 2007, when he took a position as a Audio technology consultant and sales person at Sweetwater sound, where he currently works, along with freelance engineering and working with clients out of his home based studio called “The Cloister.”
Jon had a very musical childhood, and was frequently the winner of competitions throughout his educational experience.  In 1985, He graduated with a bachelors degree in music composition (with a concentration in Ethnomusicology, studying under Professor Vida Chenoweth) from Wheaton Conservatory of Music, and then went on to Wheaton graduate School where he studied audio engineering.  Later, graduating in Music Tehcnology from Sweetwater University.
In the year 2000, he began Dream Rodeo at the urging of his friend Jeff Britton, who brought his niece, Lydia Brown to the studio to sing a Greek Orthodox Chant called “Wonders.”  Jon has been working obsessively on that project since that day!
Along with Dream Rodeo, Jon has engineered countless albums and individual song projects for regional artists as well as worked on the national music scene.    A number of his national credits are listed below.
